A reflective note
As for me, this semester was quite productive! I think that writing skills should be improved all the time. So it is really nice to have such a good opportunity to improve them in the university during our Academic Writing classes! The second semester was more about working with different media information sources. In the very beginning we skilled our essay-writing. Then we also learned how to describe various web-pages, connected with writing. We also watched some really interesting performances from the IATEFL conference, and then wrote feedbacks. But as for me the most interesting task was writing a personal story. I believe that all these tasks not only helped us to develop our writing skills, but also let us show all our fantasy and introduce the way of our thinking.
I don not think there were any useful tasks. But actually I did not the idea why did we try to make something like a guidebook. I suppose that foreigners can ask different people on their own what to do and where to go in the university. Moreover, all the information connected with NSU can be found on web-pages.
All in all, I think the this kind of work in rather effective for us.
Thank you for your feedback. I hope that the tasks you were given helped you to improve a variety of your writing skills and you'll be able to master them futher on your own in the future.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a good idea to write a guidebook because it should have given you a chance to consider the question of your audience again and write this guidebook with your readers' in mind because the official guidebook is not that audience-friendly.
I hope that overall you found this course useful, and will continue improving your writing skills in the future based on the knowledge and skills you gained during this academic year.
Things to consider:
wrote feedbacks: "feedback" is uncountable, so it does not have a plural form
