The Academic Writing Process

The Process of Writing

Today we were asked to find a website devoted to writing in English. I've decided to choose an aspect connected to the writing process itself. So, after surfing the net for 15-20 minutes I have finally found the website I wanted to find!
First of all, I would like to tell you about the website itself.

Main Information + design
It is called "Excellent Proofreading and Writing". Its motto sounds like: "Proofreading and writing help for excellent first impressions."
In the top panel you will see a great option of different sections connected with reading and writing.
  • Home
  • Proofreading
  • Writing
  • Proofreading
  • Advice
  • Guides
  • Info about the website (contacts, etc.)
But the thing I should focus on right now is "Writing", which is also divided into some sections:
  •  Academic Writing
  • Scientific Writing
  • Thesis Writing
  • Research Writing
  • Website Writing
  •  ESL Wrting
  • Business Writing
  • Business plans
  • Help, etc.
Whatever section you choose, when you come to its page, you will be offered a brief discription of the definite kind of writing, its usage and purpose. Moreover, sometimes the website's author gives you a useful advice. Then you will  be able to notice small sections with text about types of the writing, organization, ways, etc. So that you can choose the one that interests you the most. And now I would like to give an example of one of the articles from "Academic Writing" section. And I have tapped on "The Academic Writing Process" to describe. There I saw a piece of really useful information. First of all, they say that writing process should be divided into four parts:
  • Research
  • Planning
  • Writing
  • Finalizing
And after that you can see that each point is described in more details.

And there I have noticed some interesting ways of planning your essay:

  • Brainstorming
  • Clustering
  • Making lists
  • Asking questions

And also I want to point out that in description of every step there are given some advices what you should and should not do.
You can find out more about it on your own after tapping  the link:

I recommend this website everyone who wants to learn how to write high-qualified essays!Thank you for attention!

  2. Some things to remember:

advice is uncount in English, so does not have a plural form with -S. Instead you can make it countable by adding the word "piece" and then you should say "a piece of advice", "2 pieces of advice" and "some advice" if you have more pieces of advice than 3 or so.
